Studley Film Club - the "Big Screen" comes to Studley Village Hall

You now have the opportunity to watch Films old and new on the "Wide Screen" thanks to Studley Film Club. We are looking forward to our fifth season starting September 2009, (Dates and Films shortly). Membership costs £5 per year and entitles members to purchase four tickets at £4 each per showing. Members must be 16 yrs or over to join, Film ratings will apply. To apply for membership, please contact the Village Hall (Tel. No. 01527 854489). Non Members £5.00 per person per film

'Buster' Showing on Saturday, 20th February 2010 at 7.30pm

'Oklahoma'

Showing on Saturday, 20th March 2010 at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm).

Cast: Gordon MacRae, Gloria Grahame, Gene Nelson, Charlotte Greenwood, Shirley Jones

Summary:Which was the basis of Oklahoma!, Jud attempts revenge on Curly and Laurey by burning a haystack they stand on after a wedding, rather then simply attacking Curly with a knife, as in the stage version of the musical. In the film, however, as Curly and Laurey stand atop the burning haystack, Jud still does pull a knife and taunt Curly. The couple jumps down, with Curley landing on his own knife.

Studley Tots

New for 2010 - STUDLEY TOTS. We meet every Wednesday from 9.15-11.15am. Our friendly group encourages grown-ups to chat whilst keeping little ones amused with toys and activities. A snack and drink is provided for you and your little ones and we kindly ask a small fee of £2.00 per adult/child and 50p for additional.
